Land at the 6,000 foot elevation on a glacier deep inside Denali National Park. Available exclusively from Rust’s, we are the only Anchorage air service authorized to land in the park. Your destination is reachable by aircraft only and gets you the closest possible views of Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley). Fly over Denali’s lower peaks and then view the entire length of the rugged Ruth Glacier. Enter the Great Gorge, the world’s deepest, and emerge into the Ruth Amphitheater where your sense of scale will be challenged. Touch down on the gentle slopes of the Ruth Glacier or an alternative, depending on conditions, and put your footprints in the pristine snow. Then take off and descend out of the mountains into the valley below where you may be lucky enough to spot a moose or bear as you make your way back to Anchorage and the end of a once-in-a-life-time experience.
